My name is Maria, I’m Brazilian and I have 26 years old. I am living in Portugal since 2017 and my goal when I came here was to become a successful Designer. My family and friends are the most important thing for me, I am passionate with everything that have music and includes movies. I also enjoy walking in the beach and read a lot of books during my free time.
I think that what makes my talent stand out more is the fact that living in Portugal is my third experience living abroad, that makes me a very emphatic and adaptable person. I really think that those qualities are essential if you are an UX designer, because you have to always put yourself in others shoes to create the best experience possible for the users.
For accomplish that I finished an Executive Course in Web & Mobile Development and right now I am completing a Master Degree in Design Management.
I’m passionate about creative user friendly, meaningful and inspiring user flows, journeys and design. To see someone enjoy my work gives me an incredible feeling and validation that I’m doing this for others to enjoy, and I love that feeling.
My dream career is working as a Digital Nomad – that means work anywhere I want and travel whenever I want. I don’t like the idea of spending the rest of my life living in the same place, that’s why I am aiming to take on remote jobs that pay my bills.
I am inspired by powerful women from different backgrounds, such as Oprah Winfrey, Malala Yousafzai and Frida Kahlo.
A UX/UI project that exceed my previous work.
I am a student from the digital media creative-program at Hyper Island exploring a range of skills, specializing in visual and motion design. At Hyper Island we get the opportunity to work directly with the industry on a range of projects. We get to explore skills such as business strategy, communication design and prototyping to name a few, and I have also had the opportunity to do work for Warner Music, Tinsel Music and Äppeltjuv Design among others.
I have a strong belief that people connect through emotion and empathy. I make sure that everything I do has a quality that creates an emotion in people, and as a result builds a genuine connection that feels real.
Fun fact; I have a passion for karaoke and an expertise for finding the cheapest beer in Stockholm.
I am very proud of my work that I’ve done for Warner Music, which includes three promotional videos for artists Little Jinder and Klara&Jag. I had a very short deadline for the projects, but I think I managed to convey the emotional message of the songs while mirroring the personalities of the artists they were made for.
A quote that I really appreciate regarding this is: “technology always changes, but people don’t”. One of the most exciting aspects of the industry today in my opinion is the fact that you constantly need to be on your toes to keep the pace with the evolving tech, and find new & creative ways to connect with people.
In the near future I see myself at an agency or a production company where I can experience a variation of projects and subjects, for me to later take those skills into a company of my own. For me it’s all about storytelling.
Inspiration can be found in everything. I get especially inspired by other creators in art, movies and music. One role model that comes to mind is animator Richard Williams. His work is detailed and he always manages to add his signature touch to all his work.
I want to further develop my skills in animation, visual design and story-telling, becoming closer to being the content creator I envision myself to be in the future.
My name is Gabriel, Brazilian, 23 years old and I am very extroverted and motivated. I have started working as a designer since the first semester of my bachelor. Most of my experience in my field is on digital design, it’s something that I am used to doing and I really enjoying. With 4 years in this area, one of my biggest talents is the speed that I can work with.
A project I am particularly proud of is my bachelor’s thesis. It is about the emerging blockchain technology and how an application of it could be affected by regulation.
One of the greats things on design is that you can work with any area, technology, food service, medical…
I would love to be a digital design or art director in a company that that offers a good and inspiring working environment.
I consider myself really creative, and I think that everything that you see, feel and experience could be an inspiration. I like and follow designers that think different, outside the box, everyone that is out there doing a good and well project is my role model.
Now I am in Portugal hoping to start working on a design project here soon.
